5 Second CPS Test
Five seconds of clicking: long enough to be fair, short enough to stay fresh.
Ready.
Every test runs inside your browser. Nothing you type, say, show or press is uploaded.
How to use this test
Five seconds is long enough to smooth out one fumbled click and short enough that you won't tire. This CPS test counts your clicks from the first one and divides by five, which makes it a good everyday check that sits between the one second burst and the ten second standard.
Click inside the gray area to start the timer, then keep clicking until it stops. Read your clicks per second, total clicks and the left and right counts. Your best 5 second score is saved in this browser. Press Reset to go again.
What the results mean
Around 6 clicks per second is typical with normal clicking. 8 or more is fast, and above 10 usually means jitter, butterfly or drag clicking. The bar shows where your score falls.
Common questions
Is 5 seconds long enough to measure CPS?
For a quick check, yes. Five seconds evens out a single fumbled click, and it's short enough that tiredness barely shows. To compare with friends, the 10 second test is the most common format.
Why does my speed drop near the end?
The small muscles in your forearm tire fast at full speed. Relax your grip, rest your wrist on the desk and click from the finger rather than the whole hand.
Can I test the right button?
Yes. Right clicks are counted separately here. For a test that counts only the right button, use the right click CPS test.
