Privacy
All of the tests on this site run in your browser. Keyboard, mouse, touch and controller input, microphone audio and camera video are processed on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Microphone and camera access is requested only after you press Start on a page that needs it, and it's released when you press Stop or leave the page. Recordings and photos made in the microphone and webcam tests exist only in your browser's memory; the save button writes the photo straight to your device.
So you can pick a microphone or camera, the device menus show the names your browser provides. Those names stay on the page and are never stored or sent. The controller pages don't read controller names or hardware IDs at all.
The click speed and spacebar tests keep your personal best in your browser's local storage so you can see it on your next visit. You can clear it at any time by clearing site data for this site.
This site can use Google Analytics to count visits. It's off unless we have switched it on and you have agreed to it on the banner; if you decline, no analytics script is loaded and no cookie is set. Nothing from inside the tests is ever included.
There are no advertisements or affiliate links on this site at launch. If that changes, this page will be updated before they appear.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact page.
Common questions
Does the site use cookies?
Not by default. Only if analytics is enabled and you accept the banner does the analytics script set its cookie. Declining keeps the site cookie-free.
What is stored in my browser?
Your personal best for the click and spacebar tests, kept in local storage for this site. Clearing site data removes it.
Can you see my camera or microphone?
No. The stream goes from your device to the page in your browser and nowhere else. There is no server involved in any test.
