1 Second CPS Test
One second, as many clicks as you can. The timer starts on your first click.
Ready.
Every test runs inside your browser. Nothing you type, say, show or press is uploaded.
How to use this test
The 1 second CPS test measures a single burst: how many clicks you fit into one second, counted from your first click. It shows your top speed. Scores run higher than in longer tests, because your hand has no time to tire.
Click inside the gray area to start. Keep clicking until the timer stops one second later. Your clicks per second, the left and right split and your best score appear straight away. Press Reset to go again.
What the results mean
In a one second test every click is worth a full point, and one extra click moves your score a lot. Compare 1 second scores with other 1 second scores, and take your best of several tries. For a fairer average, use the 10 second test.
Common questions
Why is my 1 second score higher than my 10 second score?
In one second your forearm never tires and you don't have to pace yourself. Over ten seconds most people slow down after the first few seconds, which pulls the average down.
Does the first click count?
Yes. The timer starts on your first click and that click is counted, so your reaction time doesn't cut into the score.
Is the 1 second test good for practice?
It's good for trying a technique and seeing your peak. To track progress over weeks, use the 10 second test, where one lucky click matters much less.
