Ready.

Every test runs inside your browser. Nothing you type, say, show or press is uploaded.

How to use this test

A full-screen white page. Use it to clean a screen without clicking anything, to light your face for a video call, to check a display for dead pixels or uneven backlight, or as a plain backdrop.

Press Go full screen, then turn the brightness up with your device controls. Press Esc or click Exit full screen to come back. The page stays white until you leave it.

What the results mean

A clean white screen should look even from edge to edge. Dark dots are dead pixels; a yellow or pink cast on one side is panel uniformity; brighter corners are backlight bleed, which also shows on the Black Screen page. For a pixel check across all colors, use the Dead Pixel Test.

Common questions

Can I use this as a light?

Yes. At full brightness a laptop or monitor gives a soft, even light that works well as a fill light for video calls and selfies.

Will a white screen damage an OLED display?

Not in normal use. Leaving any static image on an OLED for many hours a day can cause uneven wear, so don't leave it on overnight.

The screen turns off after a while.

That's your device's sleep timer. Lengthen the screen timeout in your system settings while you use the page.
